As the world continues to battle Covid-19, people’s lives have taken a beating. Daily stressors are elevated, whether mentally, emotionally or physically. Modern living just got harder than it already was.

New ways of working and navigating the new normal are required. As people search for tools to adapt and thrive in the new reality, an ancient practice that is already popular in the mainstream is emerging as a powerful remedy – Meditation

Society and our education systems have conditioned us to be well versed in hard skills like science and math, which allowed us to be productive and highly functioning in the urban world of finance, economics and business. However, when the urban infrastructures and social dynamics changed dramatically, it exposed our lack of the necessary life skills to stay resilient and calm, to make sound decisions and be emotionally competent.

Obvious cracks have shown up in various areas for many people during this time:

Mental health

Stress, anxiety and exhaustion levels rose in many countries.

Emotional health

More people reported feeling imbalanced, upset or drained, with many relationships strained.

Body health

More people experienced physical aches and pains while working from home, likely caused by poor posture and less than ideal home office setups; others reported poor eating habits that led to unhealthy weight gain, bringing on symptoms like gut discomfort and brain fog.

Productivity

People struggled with mental clarity, focus and concentration that impacted their endless zoom meetings and video calls, which inadvertently disrupted their work-life balance even though they were working from home.

Mental and emotional stress can often manifest as bodily pains, while chronic pain is exacerbated during stressful times and can become a vicious cycle. Try the Free 10-min “Focus to Release Pain” meditation that Subba*, one of Re:Well Rebels’ practitioners, has created to help with pain management for your use anytime, anywhere.

In our frantic external search for the panacea for all our challenges, we fail to notice the internal solution of meditation that is available to us for free – we already know the why from the prolific scientific evidence on the benefits of meditation, we just need to know the how and what in a structured manner that is accessible and sustainable to reap long term benefits for ourselves.

Here at Re:Well Rebels, we have developed with Subba of Being Sattvaa*, a 3-part progressive meditation programme series, “Calm in Chaos” – FOCUS, BALANCE, TRANSFORM. All for the price that is less than a haircut and colour!

FOCUS builds calm and focus in order to be your best under pressure.

BALANCE builds emotional balance to make your best decisions.

TRANSFORM builds mental agility and inner strength.

What you will achieve with each programme:

·      Learn to meditate without having to reach for devices and develop a practice that builds life skills

·      Includes structured talks, progressive training and meditations that you can keep for life

·      Training in the tools for specific circumstances of high-pressure situations

·      Access to an ongoing learning community

*Subba is an ex-banker, a meditation teacher and founder of Being Sattvaa, a wellness retreat in Ubud, Bali and a regular partner of Re:Well Rebels. Other programmes created with Subba include “A Day with Me – Your Home Silent Retreat”.
