Wellness Retreat 2019: Silent Disco, Mindful Dinners

The inaugural RE:WELL REBELS city wellness retreat kicked off on November 1 – 3, 2019 at the historic Hotel Fort Canning, located within the Fort Canning Park in downtown Singapore.

To accommodate guests’ different schedules, the retreat offered options for Stay-over, Full- day or Drop-in sessions. In addition, a Wellness Lounge was opened to the public for free. This is where all guests could enjoy talks and a cosy marketplace that included a Kombucha Bar, Crystals Bar, Snack Bar, Tea Bar, and complimentary energy scans.

Private singing bowl therapy and movement and body alignment sessions were made available to guests who chose the Stay-over package.

Bringing together the principles of ancient wisdom and modern science, the Full-day programme encompassed Tibetan Singing Bowls healing, Meditation, Movement sessions (Yin Yoga and Hasiko Flow), talks and workshops on gut health, juicing, intention setting and a demo on plant-based cooking.

Working with a holistic nutritionist and Chef Jeffrey of Hotel Fort Canning, RE:WELL REBELS designed an exclusive menu for all the meals provided at the retreat.

Stayover guests also went away with extra goodies from partners like a box of fresh vegetables from Mahota Commune, olive oil and pomegranate vinegar from Salut Lebanon, candles form A New Kind, in addition to complimentary music playlists and  mediations offered to all attendees.

“Silent Disco” Mindful Dinners pioneered at the retreat where diners were guided to focus inwards and dine mindfully. This was accomplished through a session of silent disco meditation at the start of the meal, followed by a live DJ soundscape accompanying the first course. Re:Well Rebels is looking forward to holding more Silent Disco Mindful Dinners at different deliciously exciting locations in the future.
