Experiencing Calm In Chaos

Calm In Chaos is a unique meditation series designed to train participants in specific meditations to build these life skills for these stressful and unpredictable times.

We train you in areas of focus, emotional balance, and mental agility so you may come through these times stronger on the inside and equipped with tools for life.

Unlike most self-serviced meditation apps out there, we believe in having the option of learning from an experienced teacher, just like in schools, so you can eventually meditate on your own.

Hear from some of our participants who have just completed the “Focus” segment of our programme as they share their experiences and learnings.

For the absolute beginners, we recommend starting out with our free 7 days, 10 minutes starter course first.

Testimonials

Calm In Chaos (Focus) has been an incredible journey for me. It has helped with my wellbeing journey over the last 4-5 months. The course is paced in a way that it's not overwhelming for newbies to meditate.

With Subba as a guide available to answer our questions anytime and live check-ins during the beginning, middle and end of the course, it gave a more personal touch and feel compared to other online self-paced courses.

Meditation is now part of my everyday routine. It was made possible through this thoughtfully designed program that includes all, irrespective of their stage of the journey.

Namaste, I did the 15 day Calm In Chaos (Focus) retreat in October-November 2020.   The “Happy Place” meditation changed my perspective towards the life as well as Universe.

During Happy Place meditation I progressively chose to be on Moon, Sun and at the center of the Milky Way.  When one is  surrounded by billions of huge stars and earth appears  mere nano dust particle, it makes one aware that we are so insignificant in this universe that there is no value to the trivial matters we may engage with, in our lives.

After that awareness, I try to evaluate my every action from that point of view.  I have overcome many previous habits which today appear as immature.  Lengthening arguments with people has reduced substantially now. I can just smile and look at a person and terminate the argument.

For me, Subba's intentionality of the Calm in Chaos (Focus) series has become a lifeline, and a counterbalance to my tendency to reside in fear and anxiety-- particularly during the pandemic, but also in life in general. I am a natural worrier if you will, and really good at it! But, worrying only spirals me into more worries.

Through the Focus program, I have learned to be more aware of my specific emotions and needs, and then use specific meditations to transform worries into a more peaceful and balanced state. For example, I use the “Happy Place” meditation to bring me out of a worrying spiral to magical places I remember in the mountains or looking at the sky from a canoe. It calms my anxieties and allowing me to “travel” and return to a more balanced, smiling version of myself.

When I am exhausted, I now allow myself to step away from the computer for 10 minutes and use body scanning meditation to re-energize me with an intentional break. I use breaths and sound to remind me that the present is ok-- I am ok, and I need to instruct my fears to take a little vacation.

This series has also taught me that the work is never done. The more I become aware, the more I realize I need to dive deeper into these practices, So, it’s become a beautiful cycle of learning, and a sense of agency for developing focus, calm, balance, and joy.
